Formula
CGPA = Σ(SGPA × Semester Credits) ÷ Σ(Total Credits)
Alternative simple method: CGPA = Sum of all SGPAs ÷ Number of semesters (less accurate if credits differ).
Example: 3 semesters with equal credits (20 each)
- Semester 1 SGPA: 8.2 × 20 credits = 164
- Semester 2 SGPA: 7.8 × 20 credits = 156
- Semester 3 SGPA: 8.5 × 20 credits = 170
- Total: 490 ÷ 60 credits
CGPA = 8.17
